Touchstone Energy Camp
Each June, Orange County REMC sponsors local 6th grade students to attend Touchstone Energy Camp at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Ind. This event includes three fun-filled days of traditional sleep-away summer camp activities like zip lining, horseback riding, rock climbing, archery, swimming and campfires. But at Touchstone Energy® Camp, campers also learn about important topics such as alternative energy, electric safety and the impact their cooperative makes in the community. Students can download an application for the 2017 Touchstone Energy Camp. Deadline for submission is Feb. 10.
The Touchstone Energy Camp program was developed by a committee of electric cooperative employees from Indiana. The camp is funded in part by Indiana’s electric ooperatives, Hoosier Energy, Wabash Valley Power, Indiana Electric Cooperatives and other industry partners.
